GANESH CHATURTI DAY....

Food on ganesh chaturti day is almost the same every year with a little change here and there but the food is very filling and after eating this type of meal you have to nap for the minimum of 2 hours (which i always do) .
what do you make for ganesh chaturti?

I recognise this from what we see in Goa.
For us, Ganesh Chathurthi is just for the morning. Only one pooja and no visarjan. What we do is make a small conical representation of ganapathi out of moist turmeric powder. After the pooja, it is put into the well.
The special food is a sweet and savoury steamed modak.
